Abstracts

Networked systems constitute many of the most technologically advanced engineered systems, for example, autonomous systems, tele-operations, factory automation, and smart grids. Their advanced nature stems from the integration of control, communication and computing. Since networked systems are of considerable complexities intrinsically, large system uncertainties and large amounts of data are ubiquitous, which leads to the performance of conventional control and estimation methods being unsatisfactory. In this regard, intelligent control and estimation methods are increasingly attracting a lot of attention. The objective of this special session is to collect emerging intelligent control and estimation technologies for networked systems, including modelling networked systems, neural networks based techniques, fuzzy systems based techniques, and adaptive learning control, etc.
