Abstracts

This special session aims to discuss human factors aspects in security and safety of cyber-physical systems. This call tries to fill the gaps that fall under the human understanding of cyber-physical systems by considering different stakeholders’ roles and responsibilities, human-centered activities and situational awareness, user experience design, workload measurement, mitigation of human errors and analyzing their impact, human aspects of risk management, trust as a human factor; and hence the relation to the development of system security and safety in cyber-physical world. It is envisaged that alignment of human factors design processes, standards, and guidelines to security and safety are required to cope with the complexities of cyber-physical systems. This session will provide an open forum for researchers and practitioners to report and discuss latest advancements in human-centered security and safety techniques and controls.

Topics of interest to include, but are not limited to:

  • Human-centered security and safety for design architectures in smart cities
  • Human-centered security and safety for cloud infrastructures
  • Human-centered security and safety for critical infrastructures
  • Human-centered security and safety controls in energy systems
  • Human-centered security and safety controls in transportation systems
  • Human-centered security and safety controls in healthcare systems
  • Human-centered security and safety controls in mobile devices
