Fuzzy control system has been a great tool to analyze and synthesize a wide class of nonlinear control systems. Fuzzy system can approximate nonlinear systems and even describe them exactly with concept of sector nonlinearity. Hence, fuzzy control system design and analysis provide a systematic and efficient approach to nonlinear control systems. We have seen a number of innovative results on this area in the literature. However, people are still actively working on this area and there is still room for new results. This special session presents the state-of-the-art results in the area of theory and applications of fuzzy control system design and analysis, and bring well-known and potential researchers in this area together.
