 Abstract

Robotics continues to help humanity in increasing ways. In recent years, researchers have contributed significantly to the related science, technology, and application domains. Robotics will impact our lives in a number of areas including autonomous passenger vehicles and transportation, deep sea and outer space exploration, manufacturing, mining, defense and law enforcement, disaster response/recovery, future health care systems, and more. Perception, reasoning, and actuation are key pillars alongside trustworthiness, ethics, and increasing potential for robot learning.

This special session will report research results from major field trials and technology applications including associated details ranging from algorithms to integrated robotic systems. It provides an opportunity for researchers from academia, industry, and government to present latest work, share ideas, and establish contacts with other researchers in their field.

Indicative Topics/Areas
